A robust and practical windshield (70mm in diameter) performing as well as a standard windshield (without Windjammer). The Softie alone provides a fast, flexible and cost effective solution for ENG on camera microphones. Constructed of an acoustic foam base covered by a specially designed synthetic fur fabric together with a separate shockmount with its own bracket and either pistol grip handle or boom adaptor. 30mm long fur, giving protection up to 25dB wind noise reduction for more info please click here. Available in a large range of sizes to fit most popular microphones. Handy hints Softies are very efficient at reducing wind-noise. If the reduction is less than you would expect try this quick check. Fit the Softie (making sure you cover all the capsule slots), power the microphone and listen to it through headphones. Now blow gently over the length of its body. You may find that holes for switches and indicators - even the XLR connector - let wind inside the microphone. If so use foam or tape to cover these leaks.
