Post-Brexit Update

As you’re aware, the United Kingdom left the European Union on 31st December 2020. Although a deal was agreed, it does mean there are significant changes to how the United Kingdom trades with countries within the European Union.

What are the changes?

  • European customers will have to pay value add tax upon receipt of goods from the United Kingdom.
  • A customs handling fee might be charged to the recipient upon receipt of goods from the United Kingdom.
  • Due to shipments going through customs, there might be slight delays with shipping times.

What are Pinknoise doing about the new rules?

We are in the process of setting up Pinknoise EU based in Dublin, Ireland. This will allow European customers to shop with us without incurring extra fees or paying value add tax upon receipt of the goods. Customers without valid VAT numbers will have to pay Irish VAT.

In the meantime, we will be shipping all European parcels through Ireland and onto the customer, to ensure our European customers don’t incur extra charges.

We are working with couriers to ensure delays are kept to a minimum and are committed to ensuring that customer service levels remain high, but due to COVID-19 and Brexit, there are some minor delays with every courier – typically 3-5 days.

If you are based in the European Union and urgently require products, we can still ship from the UK, but you will have to pay your country’s value added tax and potentially extra customs duties.

Hey Guys,
hope you are all doing well. Just wondering when you were hoping to have the Pinknoise EU setup?
Thanks!
Hugh.

Hey Hugh!
We're hoping to have our Ireland branch set up as soon as possible! We are already shipping to the EU via Ireland and once current lockdowns have been lifted, we should be able to have our shop open up too.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
