Sound Devices 833 Recorder W/ K-Tek Stingray Junior X Purple Bag

This bundle includes:

Sound Devices 833 Compact Portable Mixer / Recorder

Features

  • 6 ultra low-noise, all-new microphone preamplifiers
  • 8 channels, 6 buses, 12 tracks
  • 6 analog outputs
  • Ultra-accurate timecode
  • 256 GB internal SSD, 2 SD card slots
  • USB-A and C ports for SD-Remote app, linear fader control via MCU, keyboard, and file transfer
  • Dugan Automixing for up to 8 channels

The 833 is the professional’s tool for mobile and small productions. Like the popular Sound Devices 633, the 833 is small, lightweight, and compact. A tactile interface with dedicated faders, trim knobs, and PFL switches makes this mixer-recorder ideal for run-and-gun bag use.

The 833 has 6 mic/line preamplifiers, 8 channels, 12 tracks, 6 analog outputs, and ultra-accurate timecode. Many features have carried over from the premium Sound Devices’ Scorpio, such as Sound Devices’ new preamplifier design, 2 SD card slots, dual L-Mount battery charging and powering, and an internal 256 GB SSD.

Additionally, the 833 shares the same processing architecture and multiple FPGAs as the Scorpio. This enables the 833 to be fully routable, and any physical input can be routed to any track. The 833 features both digital and analog inputs and outputs, and has multiple powering options, so it will fit effortlessly into your existing kit.

A built-in three band EQ may be set to either pre- or post-fade for each channel to tackle any problems directly on-set. Enable Dugan Automixing to automatically attenuate unused microphones in multi-microphone applications. Up to 8 channels can be automixed at a time, and two separate groups can be mixed simultaneously.

Dedicated coms and slate allows for professional bi-directional communication with other crew members. Send customized mixes to the camera or crew with multiple mix buses. With the ability to record to three media simultaneously, you can turn over SD cards to production at the end of the day while keeping a backup on the internal 256 GB SSD.

The 833 may be controlled via the companion Android app, SD-Remote, which features transport controls, metering,< and sound reports. For an instant mobile workstation, choose from one of several supported USB control surfaces for remote fader and transport control.

K-TEK Stingray KSTGJRX Junior X Purple Audio Mixer Recorder Bag

Features

  • Works with Sound Devices 833 & 633 and the Zaxcom Maxx
  • Built in Kickstand
  • Reinforced internal vertical frame for strength and stabilty
  • Side pockets large enough to hold NP batteries with cup adapters
  • Small, yet roomy interior for you to 4 wireless devices
  • Collapsible front pocket with Molle Straps and hard protective front
  • Comes with shoulder strap, clear shield, kickstand and all-weather protection bag

Featuring a new 1680D durable polyester fabric the X bags are reinforced with 3 layers of water repellent polyurethane. It is designed for compact recording packages where mobility and transportability is of highest concern. The design was optimized to work with the newest mixers like the Sound Devices 833 and 888, as well as the Zaxcom NOVA & MAXX. It is also well-suited for many similar sized mixer recorders.

The most popular feature from the previous Stingray Jr bag was the Kickstand. With small adjustments the Kickstand is now even better on the Jr-X bag. Conveniently lean the bag back for clear visibility and access while sitting at a table or similar. The Kickstand is permanently attached and easily stores folded up on rear outside of the bag when not in use.

The reinforced and strengthened vertical frame structure protects the equipment now even better. Additional to allowing the bag to better stand on its own, it gives full access to the sides and bottom of the mixer recorder to access connectors and media. The large trap door on the bottom and zippered side access panels complements the accessibility offered by the frame design and further ease setup, cabling, and battery swaps. A separate front compartment is protected by a rigid front panel and can be expanded or closed tight. Velcro pockets close the bottom sides of the front compartment while allowing for cabling access to the exterior of the bag. Large side pockets offer plenty of room to store NP and other large battery packs. Generous pass-throughs allow cable routing from and to the main compartment. Various cable pass-through locations and smart storage points prove the versatility of the Stingray Junior X bag to various equipment choices and recording environments.

The premium zipper tags are now color coded for your convenience. Webbing loops, Molle straps and the threaded attachment points offer plenty of rigging points for additional accessories like Gizmo pouches, TX/RX units, magic arms and even mobile phone/Tablet holders. D-Rings allow the Stingray KSTGJRX bag to be attached to harnesses and waist belts. The Stingray Junior X-Series bag comes with a shoulder strap, a clear shield and a new all-weather protection stealth bag concept.
